Today I’m sharing with you a quick trick to help you DETERMINE YOUR SKIN TYPE. Knowing your skin type is the first step to selecting the best skincare and makeup products for you. That’s why I think every makeup beginner should know what skin type they have. But, whether you are a beginner or not, if you want to learn how you can easily DETERMINE YOUR SKIN TYPE you’ve come to the right place!
Knowing your skin type is very important for picking the right skincare products for you, but you’d be surprised at how much it would help your makeup product selections as well.
There’s a very simple trick to quickly and easily determine your skin type.
It’s called the Tissue Test!
The results of this test will let you determine your skin type.
All you will need is – you probably guessed it – a tissue.
In the morning, right after you wake up and before you even wash your face press a clean tissue against your skin.
Next, take a moment to examine your tissue:
- Is your tissue clean but your face feels comfortable and with good elasticity? Lucky girl, you have Normal Skin. I’m so jealous normal skin type is super low maintenance and the least problematic one.
- Is your tissue all clean but your face feels super tight? You have dry skin. Your skin needs lots of love and care and may be more prone to wrinkles. But, on the bright side, you’re a lot less likely to breakout.
- Does your tissue have oily spots all over? You have oily skin. I won’t lie, being more prone to acne sucks, but the good news for you is you’re less prone to wrinkles.
- Does your tissue have oily spots in your T-Zone? You have combination skin. Welcome to the club! This is the most problematic and high maintenance skin type. But don’t worry it’s my skin type too, and we’ll figure this out together.
Regardless of your skin type, don’t stress too much about it. Life is all about the Ying and the Yang. You know, there’s pros and cons to everything. And, most importantly, don’t ever let a skin concern define you or hurt your self esteem. We’re all human and we all flawed and beautiful in so many different ways.
There’s nothing wrong with having acne or wrinkles, or even both!
Simple use this info to manage your skin concerns for a healthier skin.
