FOOD | What I Ate Wednesday

“I’m on a SEAFOOD diet.  I SEE food… and I eat it”.

Although I’m clearly not taking credit for the above, I just had to borrow it because it fits perfectly for today’s What I Ate Wednesday.  Delicious fresh fish… in generous quantities!

BREAKFAST
Don’t panic!  No fish for breakfast though 🙂
I was very sick with a flu the past few days, and still am, so I had 3 cups of chamomile tea with honey for breakfast.
It helped tremendously with my sore throat.
With my tea, I also had a vanilla protein pancake.
Not very appealing to the eye, I know, but trust me, it tastes really good!
LUNCH
A few hours later, I went with my family to have lunch to a very sophisticated place:  the Alvear Palace Hotel.
That place is as beautiful and luxurious as a french castle… a true palace.  If you ever come visit Buenos Aires, you should stop by for lunch or tea.
I guarantee you will feel like royalty for a couple of hours 🙂
This time, they were serving a buffet froid with a wide variety of seafood and salads.
As you can see in the picture I took right before eating: I had shrimps, octopus, ceviche, smoked salmon, prosciutto, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and quinoa.
TEA TIME
You probably already guessed by throat was still very soar in the afternoon, and so I went back to drinking a few cups of Chamomile tea.

 DINNER
For dinner time, I was home with my husband.
We slightly cooked some fresh tuna…
It was almost raw, sashimi style.
Then sliced it, added lemon juice, a honey-mustard sauce and
a side of greens,  red cabbage, avocado, sesame seeds and mango.
I enjoyed this fresh tuna salad SO much.
Such a mouth-watering combination of flavours and textures!

  1. How yummy! I love fresh seafood. Don't get enough of it here in vegas. When we go to southern California we always eat a place called Parkers Lighthouse. Amazing array of sushi & seafood. Hope you're well!
